Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. seeks a Senior Business Analyst for the WBEAS TV & CP Department. The Senior Business Analyst works closely with the Business Unit to document business requirements and is the primary designer of systems solutions. The role is responsible for understanding, identifying and documenting requirements for the Contract, Clearance and Financial Operations functions and designing solutions for the applications used by those areas. The role uses existing tools and processes to ensure proper translation of business requirements to application requirements, QA Testing, UAT Coordination, delivery and user training. The role audits the business process after implementation to ensure it complies with corporate standards and policies (e.g., SOX compliance).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Acting as Subject Matter Expert for the Domestic Television Distribution Applications Suite, leads the effort to analyze and document Business Requirements, synthesize solutions, and develop the Functional Design Specification for handover to the Development team.
* Reviews functional design prototypes and specifications developed by the Development team.
* Develops integrated Test Plans to be conducted during QA and is primarily responsible for the execution of the QA Test plans.
* Conducts comprehensive QA Tests using these scenarios and works with Cap Gemini to track and remediate surfaced issues.
* Coordinates the UAT effort and responsible for end-user training.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
* High School diploma or equivalent required.
* Undergraduate degree required.
* Previous Entertainment industry experience in television syndication and distribution systems is preferred.
* Minimum 3-5 years in a lead or senior role working with key clients to define business requirements and synthesize system solutions.
* Familiarity working in an outsourced service provider environment is desirable.
* Prior experience with relational database management systems and reporting (i.e., experience with SQL queries) preferred.
* Must have significant experience with system testing including development of test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
* Prior experience with development and delivery of system enhancement training preferred.
* Demonstrable skills working with Mid to Senior level clients to illicit business requirements and facilitating the formulation of new methods to optimize existing processes.
* Deep understanding of current QA Testing methods and procedures.
* Deep understanding UAT methods and procedures, preferably using HP Quality Center.
* Strong understanding and appreciation of current SDLC methodologies.
* Application modeling and functional design experience.
* General office activities - walking, standing, sitting, speaking, finger manipulation, lifting, bending, etc.
* Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel, both in person and on the telephone.
* Must be able to pay close attention to complex detail and understand written and oral instructions.
* Must be able to organize and schedule work effectively.
* Must be able to work well under time constraints.
* Must be able to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities, communicating changes in scope and schedule to all parties concerned.
* Must be service-oriented / able to work independently / and work flexible hours.
