Job Summary: The Senior Business Technology Consultant will design, optimize and sustain end-to-end business processes enabled by business technology. To elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems he/she will work with business and IT counterparts to develop the user requirements for Business Technology applications, write test scripts and provide end user input. The Senior Business Technology Consultant will also partner with IT Operations to govern the system, provide risk analysis, and prioritize changes. This position requires that the individual constantly optimizes the business process and ensures the system reflects the current business process. Exceptional knowledge of business area processes that are relevant to current applications as well as those that may be candidates for improvement to both the business process and its corresponding system is expected. This position primarily achieves success through individual performance, characterized by specific functional expertise. In the event that the position requires supervision of others, less than half of the time is spent developing talent.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
ate, control and improve business processes by leading business process design and project implementation teams in process improvement activities. Diagnose process improvement opportunities and develop solutions using principles of process excellence and related tools.
elopment of the business & information architecture framework for ImClone R&D business units, align with ImClone IT & Lilly's Enterprise Architecture. Establishing architecture standards & practices, and Master Data Management methodologies. Provides guidance and support to Business Analysts, solution specialists and project teams on solution implementation. Build and maintain long-term business capability roadmaps, data flow road maps and related IT capability roadmaps. Deliver technology advisory and/or implementation for tool selection, data transfer/data migration, infrastructure architecture, improving business process and system integration. Participates in all phases of solution implementation. Collaborates with Lilly COE/IT, IT solution architects, and IT Operations.

Liaise with IT partners internally and externally and various business stakeholders to prepare for Change Management of new technology or solution. Interact with business users and speak common language, interpreting for IT Operations when necessary.
lect, evaluate and prioritize opportunities to improve area working practices. Report, analyze, audit and develop plans and programs to support continuous quality improvement using applicable tools. Govern system to ensure data and system integrity is maintained while controlling change.
nslate business process descriptions to functional requirements and high-level design for input into configuration and/or technical specification of related system(s). Produce User Requirements Specifications and test plan documentation.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Domain Expertise :
.At least 5-7 years working experience with a development/bio informatics group in a biotech or pharmaceutical company .Solution implementation experience with one or more functional areas such as Research, Clinical, Medical, Regulatory, Drug Development Operations, and Drug Safety .Proven experience in building/implementing business, information, and application architecture frame works, Master Data Management, Data transfer/migration, business process governance, and business process capabilities roadmap
Functional Proficiencies:
.Minimum 6+ years of hands-on architecture, design, and implementation experience in IT solutions spanned across multiple business units .Demonstrated experience working with architecture methodologies and frameworks such as TOGAF and Zachman is significant plus .Demonstrated experience in developing business process architectures, roadmaps and standards, detailed business process analysis and mapping, within framework guidelines .project management involving the coordination of resources and goals across multiple, related projects leading multi-disciplined, high-performance work teams .An understanding of the strategic impact of modifying the processes of service lines and Core Business Services departments, including the impact on application, information and infrastructure architecture .Ability to understand long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives .Experience in providing solutions to Master Data Management functional problems and Metadata standardization by providing technical expertise in data profiling , mapping, and analysis .Demonstrated experience in providing architecture guidance for day to day solution support
Technical Proficiencies:
.Demonstrated proficiency in Visio, MS-Excel, MS-Word, MS-PowerPoint, MS-Access, MS-Project and SharePoint is required .Solid understanding /practical experience in all aspects of IT including database technologies, search engines, security, application services, SOA, Business Intelligence reporting, data modeling, process design, information architecture and frameworks. .Experience in SQL, Oracle, Cognos, SAS, ERWin, Crystal Reports, ESB/SOA,ETL, and Unix/Window scripting is huge plus
