DESCRIPTION:
Job Purpose:
To support the activities of the Contracts department.
Job Responsibilites:
* Act as an advisor to sales and finance management regarding legal issues in complex technology contracts.
* Prepare and review, draft, negotiate and administer product and services IT-related contractual instruments, including commercial as well as federal, state and local government contracts, statements of work, and task orders.
* Handle various forms of agreements, such as statements of work, consulting agreements, reselling agreements, nondisclosure agreements, GSA orders, and purchase order provisions.
* Assure that appropriate subcontractor documents and contracts are implemented.
* Negotiate directly with principals of customer and vendor accounts; provide status and support to field teams. Serve as a focal point with customers and internal sales personnel for contractual communications, commitments and flow-down requirements. Advise executives on contractual issues.
* Monitor performance of contracts for conformance to contractual terms and conditions and ensure that contracts are in accordance with legal requirements, customer specifications, and laws and regulations.
* Renegotiate and amend existing contracts, as necessary.
* Support the RFP process by reviewing proposal documents and providing comments.
* Review and revise bid documents to ensure compliance with specifications, obtain internal corporate approval and maintain all bid documentation files.
* Negotiate and draft software contracts and clauses, as needed.
* Review other miscellaneous contracts as needed, including office leases, internal procurement contracts, independent contractor agreements, and any other contracts entered into by ePlus Technology.
REQUIREMENTS:
Job Knowledge/Skills:
* Excellent telephone, face to face, and presentation communication skills essential.
* Solid understanding of the IT industry. Federal acquisition exposure a plus. Knowledge of FAR and GSA processes a plus.
* Legal and financial literacy. Superior grammar skills.
* Proficiency in contract negotiation and drafting, proposal and bid processes.
* Excellent organization, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent telephone skills, diplomatic team and individual negotiation skills.
* Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
* Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously.
* Ability to work independently as well as a team member.
Education and Experience:
* 4 year degree in related field. JD a plus.
* 2 years of contracts experience required.
* Experience in preparing, negotiating and managing software license agreements and federal acquisition regulations a plus.
