Senior Data Analyst

Daugherty Senior Data Analysts possess technical expertise gained from extensive experience and industry research of best practices. Senior Data Analysts develop solutions for unpredictable and varied problems. Perform correction of errors involve working with senior managers across the enterprise and / or outside companies. Act as a lead and may have full-fledged supervisor responsibilities including training and mentoring various levels of individuals

Analyze and Identify Resolution to Complex Business Solutions

• Demonstrate strong SQL skills
• Exhibit strong data analysis skills
  • Identify, review, and evaluate existing data structures.
  • Construct data decomposition diagrams, provide data flow diagrams and documents the process.
  • Identify and document data quality issues and data patterns.
  • Write code for database access, modification and construction including stored procedures.
  • Identify and report risks throughout the life of the project and provide mitigation strategy for those risks
  • Familiar with a variety of the field concepts, practices and procedures.  Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of complicated tasks may lead and direct the work of others.
• Maintains expertise in two (or more) integration tools (DTS, SSIS, Informatica, Data Stage, etc.)
• Proven experience in data modeling/architecture (Operational, Data Warehouse, and Data Mart Design).
• Experience in a (or multiple) CASE tools (ERwin, ORACLE Designer 2000, ER/Studio, etc.).
• Experience in a (or multiple) OLAP tools (Analysis Services, Cognos, Business Objects, etc.)
• Experience in a (or multiple) Reporting tools (Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, ProClarity, etc.)
• Completed several BI project life-cycles

Consulting and Management Requirements:

• Lead groups of four or more within a BI project (Integration, Reporting, etc.)
• Coach less senior Data Analysts in analysis techniques, problem solving and business knowledge.
• Qualified candidates are required to have client-facing full lifecycle project experience

• Development of statements of work and/or client proposals
• Broad system level expertise across multiple computing platforms and technologies with the ability to influence direction around information management at the Enterprise Level
• Organize knowledge transfer to clients
• Develop and manage vendor relationships
• Lead workshops for client education
• Identify opportunities to add value to the client's organization by effective use of information management
• Build relationships with CXOs and key stakeholders responsible for information and performance management in client's organization
• Ability to scope out the effort and cost for an enterprise reporting solution
• Ability to define how an enterprise information system will align with the organization's business and strategic objectives

Education Requirement: 4-year college degree, preferably in Computer Science or Business-related studies.

Experience Requirement:  Minimum of 5+ related experience in Data Management or Business Intelligence. Prior Consulting experience required(experience from one of the Big 4 Consulting Firms a plus!)
