Senior Data Warehouse Architect/Database Management Specialist
Title: Senior Data Warehouse Architect/Database Management Specialist Location: VA-Fairfax Duties and Responsibilities: The desired candidate will lead the design and development of a data warehouse architecture that supports the integration of multiple enterprise systems. Candidate must apply strong data warehouse analysis and implementation experience in this effort. Other responsibilities include: * Support the implementation of the Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse by performing all roles associated with architecting the data warehouse solution * Oversee the analysis, design and implementation of the data warehouse, the data model, and the normalization of data from multiple sources * Participate in system and user acceptance testing activities, including issue resolution so that tasks are completed in a timely manner * Work with development staff and technical documentation staff to ensure completion of all required documentation * Mentor and train junior staff by sharing best practices and lessons learned from past implementation efforts * Candidate might identify process improvement opportunities Required Qualifications: * 7 years of experience with software development, including a strong knowledge of Oracle, SQL * 3 years of applicable experience in implementing enterprise data warehousing solutions * 3 years of experience in implementing Oracle Business Analytics solutions * 3 years of experience in data warehouse star schema design * Prior experience with a high volume data warehouse solution integrating multiple complex sources of data * Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment * Candidate should exhibit a superior degree of discretion and autonomy * Typically requires a bachelor's degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent, and twelve to fifteen years of related experience. Desired Qualifications: * Experience integrating multiple large scale systems into a single warehouse is desired * Experience with Oracle Financial Analytics package is desired * Demonstrated experience with Informatica PowerCenter is desired * Strong domain knowledge of at least one of these functional domains - Financial Management, Acquisitions, Asset Management - is desired * Experience implementing a data warehousing solution for a Financial Management/Acquisitions focused ERP environment is desired * 3 years of Federal consulting experience will be a plus * Experience with Oracle EBS, Compusearch PRISM and/or Sunflower Assets will be a l
