Title:Senior Electrical Engineer - Cable and Cabling Systems
Location: Kennedy Space Center, FL
Clearance: Able to pass a NASA NACLAC

The position involves the design and development of electrical ground support equipment (EGSE) cables and cable plant infrastructure for Kennedy Space Center. Personnel will operate within a NASA and contractor design team for the development of new and/or modifications to existing launch vehicle ground support equipment instrumentation systems. Drawing preparation, part selection, Bill of Materials development, part sourcing, and integration are included as job responsibilities. Candidate will also have responsibility for writing test procedures and installation instructions.

Candidates must have a CAD background with AutoCAD Electrical experience or experience in another similar application with a willingness to learn AutoCAD Electrical. Candidates must possess a knowledge of KSC EGSE cable termination methods, as well as knowledge of Mil Spec connectors and rough service cable. Knowledge of KSC methods for meeting NEC Electrically Hazardous areas is highly desirable. Candidates must have a fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Office. Candidates must demonstrate good interpersonnal and communication skills that will be crucial for operation within the diverse design team environment.

Education: Electrical Engineering degree or combination of education and experience to the listed responsibilities and skills. Candidates with an associate’s degree, technical school, vocational school or other relevant training (including military), in combination with applicable experience, may apply.
