Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Communication Systems listed in Delivery Order (see above).

EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science degree in electrical/electronics engineering from an accredited university.
Specific Job Description Lockheed Martin Global Training and Logistics is looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer-AOR Microwave Engineer who has good organizational skills, can multi-task on several projects, has good interpersonal skills to facilitate an effective working relationship with multiple agencies and organizations, and possesses excellent oral and written communications skills. The Candidate will perform and document site surveys to support microwave communications. Create project support agreements (PSAs) to include specifications for allied support, other minor construction or facility upgrades and tools and test equipment requirements. Prepare working engineering project packages for installation teams with installation instructions, sketches, and LOMs. Supervise, manage, and direct installation teams on Microwave engineering projects. Brief senior commanders on plans and/or status of projects. Develop technical solutions to meet AFCENT approved requirements. Develop and execute cutover plans to integrate newly installed infrastructure. The cutover plans shall provide, when possible and practical, a seamless cutover of services from the old to the new infrastructure and systems. Create and upkeep a continuity book to include location of soft copy of the following information: PSAs, project packages, local and USAFCENT POCs, technical references, etc. Conduct Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) Support: System design, equipment evaluation and selection, system integration, Installation, ATM switch administration, legacy systems integration into the network, and troubleshooting. Provide Network Management Systems Support: System evaluation and selection, Multi Vendor equipment integration into a common management platform, installation, acceptance, and testing. Provide Technical Control Facility Support: System level testing, channel level testing, system integration, including encryption units, outside plant testing and evaluation, operator equipment training, liaison with outside agencies to bring new systems on line, monitor system performance and recommend corrective action as required, and troubleshooting. Provide engineering support to include: installation, startup, testing, monitoring, lifecycle management plans and troubleshooting of all USCENTAF microwave equipment including, but not limited to: Alcatel Radio Terminals; OC-3, DS-3, DS-1, MDR 7000, MDR 4000; Harris/Stratex Radio Terminals; OC-3, DS-3, DS-1, DXR 700, Altium OC3, DXRNET; Associated Management System, Legacy Equip; Crypto Devices. Engineer and design microwave systems, which may include the following: Equipment selection and evaluation, Path Surveys and profiles, System Integration, Frequency coordination, Site Survey, Communications tower selection and construction supervision, Link and path testing, System Acceptance testing, Legacy systems integration into the network.

The AOR Microwave Engineer will be based at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar but available to travel to all US Military sites (e.g., Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, UAE, Pakistan, Iraq, and Afghanistan) within the CENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR) by direction of USAFCENT A6.
