Propulsion Systems Integration (PSI) is a core discipline in the Propulsion Systems Analysis (PSA) organization.
The job responsibilities of a senior engineer in the PSI discipline would include, but not limited to:
- Supports PSA technical focal point for the Module Centers
- Establishes, prioritizes and tracks top technical issues
- Establishes functional requirements (TPMs)
- Tracks the closure of technical issues during development, field and production
- Supports system level reviews
- Leads resolution and closure of CCB issues and actions
- Leads system trade studies
- Evaluates options and/or program opportunities for product derivatives and services as appropriate
- Tracks the closure of customer commitments
- Executes the risk management process
- Supports EVMS execution and performs Project Engineering functions relating to defining and refining EVMS plans schedules and budgets
- Tracks and reports program and System Engineering process metrics
- Interacts with internal and external customers as appropriate
