Senior Engineer
Hamilton Sundstrand is among the largest global suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and industrial products. We design and manufacture aerospace systems for commercial, regional, corporate and military aircraft and are a major supplier for international space programs. Our industrial products serve industries ranging from hydrocarbon, chemical and food processing to construction and mining.
Design and develop high power electronics and magnetics for motor drives and power converters for Space & Defense applications. Activities include requirements decomposition, circuit design, performance and failure analyses, experimentation, test planning and execution.
The individual shall be familiar with power in the range of 250 kilowatts at 600 volts, high frequency switching devices and their drive circuits as well as power magnetic design and analysis.
The individual shall have a solid understanding of transformers and motors and generators as well as their drive topologies. High fidelity circuit and system level simulation capability using state of the art simulation tools is required. The individual should be able to demonstrate a strong analytical capability as well as a solid hardware background with hands-on skills.
The position requires a person with initiative, resourcefulness and teaming abilities. Good written and oral communications with the willingness to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment are a must.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: BSEE required / MSEE preferred
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 10years of working experience required
INDUSTRY EXP: Aerospace, Automotive, Electronics, Manufacturing, Industrial, Space, Defense
Familiarity with PC office tools including: Access, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Word are required.
Demonstrated capability with CAD tools such as Cadence, UG or PRO-E, SPEED, Mat Lab, and DOORS is preferred.
