Description
TransCore, a subsidiary of Roper Industries, Inc. (NYSE: ROP) is seeking a full-timeSenior Field Technicianto join the PA state-wide radio maintenance team in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
The Senior Field Technician is a lead on the installation, maintenance, and service tasks for two-way radio and other related electronics and wireless communications systems. Functioning independently, often looked to for guidance and support to other technicians throughout the service area. Overtime work and on-call duty will be required as necessary. Frequent operation of a company vehicle and travel to client sites is required throughout the central PA service area.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience: * High-school diploma required * Associates degree or certificate in electrical engineering technology or electronics preferred * Strong understanding of electronic theory * Prior experience relating to servicing two-way radio and complex telecommunications systems * Significant electronic and/or mechanical troubleshooting experience required * We seek candidates who display excellent communication and customer relations skills, quickly seek solutions to complex equipment problems, and excel as a team leader * Must maintain PA drivers license in good standing as verified by TransCore * Driving record must be free of DUI/DWI for three-year period prior to employment
