Honeywell Canada is currently searching for a Senior HR Generalist to support our team. This position is located in the Mississauga office. In this role you will be responsible for providing strategic HR support - through HR excellence and organizational effectiveness - as well as the execution of regional and business-specific strategies.

This position will provide key generalist support for local and remote employees across multiple business groups in Mississauga, Ontario. The Senior HR generalist will support the client base in all aspects of Human Resources leadership including but not limited to performance management, learning and development, organization development, compensation, employee relations, diversity and talent management. * Accountable for value-added deployment and follow through of all HR initiatives, processes and systems * Understand and influence business drivers and strategies and partner with clients to ensure business objectives are met * Lead strategic initiatives and improvement projects for the organization within cross regional, cross functional teams * Coach managers on optimal workforce utilization, talent management, and performance differentiation * Identify change opportunities (people, process, structure) and create plans to address the change * Proactively drive a positive employee relations environment * Balance employee advocacy and manager consultation on employee relations and performance management issues * Understand, support, and properly apply Honeywell policies and practices * Investigate and ensure fair resolution of issues with Honeywell policies and practices * Effectively assess talent, determine gaps and manage talent pipeline for client base * Identify training needs in client base (policy, process, philosophy) and implement training programs as needed * Work with the Human Resources COEs to deliver on compensation, organizational development, and workforce planning strategies to address the current and future needs of the business * Participate on HR and other teams addressing business-wide issues/projects Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree * Minimum of 5 years of proven progressive professional Human Resources experience Additional Qualifications: * Staffing expertise, including proficiency in overall process, eTalent tool (recruit software) and assessment for all levels of employee and management within client base * Ability to integrate staffing, Management Resource Review, and career development/coaching processes to assure a pipeline of talent that can meet current and future talent needs * Ability to understand and apply knowledge of all provincial Employment Standards and Human Rights regulations to HR processes, and accurately complete and monitor all required document reporting * Understanding of the various functional specialties and key processes that comprise the businesses and how they are integrated * Ability to Identify resource needs and ensure that resources are aligned to facilitate accomplishment of business objectives * Understanding of the corporation's compensation philosophy, the relationship between compensation and benefits as a total package, and ability to explain plans and programs to employees * Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, and establish trust and credibility with clients * Ability to balance business needs with employee needs * Demonstration of Honeywell core values and behaviors. Strong demonstration of leadership and teamwork abilities * Clearly demonstrated coaching, counseling, consulting and facilitation skills * Ability to effectively lead significant projects in the business * Strong HR systems experience and computer skills * Excellent communications (written and verbal) skills * 2 years of Generalist experience supporting a client group * Ability to partner with the management staff at all levels, across all functions * Ability to manage human resources execution at the local level, as well as project manage initiatives across the greater organization * Ability to team with other regional and functional human resources staff globally
