Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst.
Role and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager, IT Enterprise Solutions, the IT Business Analyst will perform a variety of duties with respect to:
Providing leadership and mentoring within the PMO to business analysts and other project team members;
Collecting, analysing and documenting business process and functional requirements (As-Is and To-Be).
Communicating effectively with external clients and internal teams to deliver functional requirements like screen, interface, and GUI designs where necessary.
Documenting the acquired results of analysis and workflows as well as obtaining sign-off from the appropriate client.
Act as Test Coordinator responsible for Test Script creation and leading the User Acceptance Testing.
Coordinating with the groups of business unit who test, validate, evaluate new applications and functions, and determine issues in services and software.
Create a Training Plan and assist with scheduling and training material development. - Assist with the creation of new documentation and
or update of existing documentation based on project requirements.
Qualifications
Required Skills
University/college degree or equivalent experience plus 10 years business analysis experience.
Strong focus on delivery and quality; ability to ensure quality and accuracy of reports and deliverables, with a focus on attention to detail.
Solid understanding of SAP is a definite benefit to the success of this role.
Expertise in requirements gathering for areas such as IT, finance, human resources, operations, sales, or safety.
Experience in process analysis, training material development and testing.
Strong interpersonal skills, especially interviewing skills.
Excellent communication (written and verbal).
Superior organization skills and attention to detail.
High level of confidence to make suggestions for process improvement and issues resolution.
Desired Skills
Experience working within the oil and gas industry an asset.
Expertise in Service Desk Procedures and Service Management an asset.
