POSITION SUMMARY:Senior Java Developer playing a pivotal role in the development of a highly visible, large scale document tracking/workflow management system for a federal agency. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Perform programming tasks in the Java language utilizing Java J2SE and J2EE class libraries and frameworks. * Create Java code, understand and enhance existing applications, build application interfaces, build test harnesses, assist in the design and testing phases as well as the core software development lifecycle steps. * Design, develop implement and test software using Agile or RUP software development methodologies. Create documentation in code as well as system documentation and assist in the creation of artifacts such as class diagrams, use cases, and other models. * Create code to interface with underlying databases such as Oracle, and understand SQL, object-relational implementation techniques and n-tier application technologies. * The developer will often create code that executes within an application server such as WebLogic and understand the nuances of the application server and its administration.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
* US PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS REQUIRED * 5 - 10 years experience designing, developing and implementing software using Java.
* Experience with a broad variety of technologies including JSP, Ajax, JSON, XML, CSS, DOJO * Strong experience in utilizing Eclipse IDE as a development environment. * Solid familiarity with the design principles of n-tier applications including WebLogic or similar products.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Experience integrating FileNet into COTS and/or GOTS products. * FileNet certification a big plus.
