About the Role:
Responsible for Canada and Northeast US marketing organization including marketing strategy, planning and programs. Reports to the VP of Americas Field Marketing. Lead the Canadian public relations strategy, execution and support, including creating unique programs designed for the local market and closely aligned with corporate communications and supporting the Canadian PR agency. Lead the Canadian channel marketing strategy and program execution supporting Canadian VARs. Partner with the McAfee sales organization to understand business requirements and drive quarterly/yearly plans. Focus on developing programs that align with the sales goals across the territory and measure and report on success. Work closely with product and solution marketing to effectively execute corporate initiatives into the field, by developing programs that support business unit or solution marketing communications strategy and action programs. Create and manage lead generation programs to meet pipeline development needs including hosted events, industry tradeshows, direct marketing campaigns, customer touch strategies, telesales campaigns, and various other marketing tactics to support the field sales organization.
Key Responsibilities:
· Partner with the McAfee sales organization to understand business requirements and drive quarterly/yearly plans · Create and deliver a comprehensive annual marketing plan to meet pipeline growth and bookings objectives · Manage quarterly budget, accurately estimate cost and manage execution · Manage field event/programs with regional McAfee sales (seminars, tradeshows, conferences, association participation, etc) from initial planning through to final execution including contracts, logistics, developing promotional communications to drive attendance, on-site execution and follow-up · Identify tactics/assets that are most impactful for acceleration of pipeline · Accurately measure pipeline impact/stage by geo/product/segment/route to market/tactic · Understanding of required marketing mix and product lifecycle marketing · Set quarterly goals to measure success of your marketing plan · Provide input for quarterly business reviews with McAfee field marketing and regional sales management · Work closely with product marketing to effectively execute corporate initiatives into the field, by developing programs that support business unit or solution marketing communications strategy and action programs · Align field marketing event process with core demand generation programs to ensure generation of Marketing Qualified Leads through integrated, multi-touch programs · Work with product marketing to develop sales enablement tools specific to regional sales needs · Function as the single point of contact for all marketing inquiries for sales teams supported by your marketing programs Required Experience/Skills & Education: * Minimum 8-10 years high-tech marketing experience, ideally in the networking or security software industry.
