Position Overview:
This is a part time [24 hours per week], FLSA exempt position at the company Location: in Herndon, VA, the Pentagon, and other locations in the Metro DC area. The Senior Policy Analyst will work as part of a contractor team on the staff of the Deputy Under Secretary of the Navy. The position will be available approximately 15 Sep 2010. Limited CONUS and OCONUS travel expected.
MAI is seeking Senior Policy SMEs in Plans, Policy, and Operations and Integration (PPOI) to support the Deputy Under Secretary of the Navy (DUSN). These SMEs will develop and coordinate a high-level review of the current and future DON Intelligence program assessments and alternative courses of action. MAI will support this effort with in-depth studies of analytical processes focused on issues of National Security interests.
The incumbant will report to the project manager, and will plan, outline, draft and finalize a variety of specialized analyses, briefings, and reports in support of the Secretariat. This will include development and execution of concept evaluation plans, execution plans, event directives, information briefings, executive support, staffing plans, and other documents.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
> TS/SCI clearance and US Citizenship
> Bachelors degree
> Experience in the Naval service as either a Navy or Marine officer
> Minimum 1 tour as Assistant Branch Head or higher on the Joint Staff, OSD, Navy Secretariat, OPNAV, or HQMC staff; equivalent government experience civilian
> Extensive experience in developing plans and policies with a demonstrated ability to brief and advise senior leaders on defense policy and planning
> Ability to think and write succinctly and with clarity of purpose at the post-graduate level
> General DOD knowledge and Interagency processes and decision forums to include PPBE and JCIDS
> Knowledge of ongoing military operations management to include Adaptive Planning process
