The Role AspenTech is seeking an experienced Advisor (Principal) Consultant within our Global Professional Services organization based as part of the AspenTech Supply Chain consulting practice based in our UK, Reading Office. The position will provide expert level consulting to clients implementing our proprietary software packages - Aspen PIMS, Petroleum scheduler (Orion), Blend Optimizer (MBO) and Aspen Petroleum Supply-Chain Planner (DPO). The individual will be a senior member of a team responsible for undertaking consulting services for AspenTech clients in refinery planning, scheduling and blending with opportunity to engage in projects across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Responsibilities:
* Deliver consulting services including; solutions architecture & design, implementation, training and advisory services in supporting clients exploitation of AspenTech Petroleum Planning, Scheduling & Blending (PS&B) solutions * Solutions Architect for Petroleum supply-chain projects having credibility, gravitas and proven ability to gather, document and implement Client requirements and address the business process issues that AspenTech solutions address * Design and configure model-based decision support systems and data integration with external systems and databases * Co-ordinate solution delivery in concert with AspenTech Project Management and the Client to ensure projects achieve stated milestones, delivery dates and financial goals * Maintain and extend client satisfaction levels and develop opportunities for additional Services * Work co-operatively with the AspenTech extended team in Sales, Support, R+D and Partners to ensure successful project delivery and completion. Assist the sales organization and Services management team in preparing and delivering complex bids and proposals to major corporate clients Qualifications:
* First degree in an engineering discipline (prefer an advanced degree in either engineering or business). * Significant experience, ideally 5+ years, in corporate or operations planning or operations scheduling in a petroleum refining and/or petrochemical business * Experience of working for a software vendor or consultancy organization delivering Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution or Process Manufacturing solutions is highly desirable. * Proven track record of delivering AspenTech or equivalent solutions for refinery planning, scheduling and blending along with the ability to use Linear Programming optimization and simulation packages, , C++ and fluency in working with Microsoft Excel
