Senior Process Development Engineer—Semiconductor Packaging

We seek a highly motivated process development engineer to join our team at our central research facility in Beverly, Massachusetts to focus on bringing Solid State Lighting solutions to millions of people.
We are working on some very exciting technologies that will radically change the lighting industry of the future. As a Senior Process Development Engineer, you will:
• Work with a team of world-class research scientists and engineers to research and develop novel lighting solutions and manufacturing methods. • Investigate new capabilities, techniques, equipment, materials, and processes to enable high volume manufacturing of LED lighting solutions. • Participate in hands-on process development and prototyping. • Work with development engineers to introduce new processes that enable new product introductions.
Requirements:
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum B.S. in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, or related engineering field. • Minimum 5 years work experience in industry. • Demonstrated ability to design and implement new processes from the ground up. • Hands-on lab experience in development, engineering, or corporate research setting.
Preferred Qualifications
• M.S. or Ph.D. with strong engineering skills preferred. • Experience in industry with high volume manufacturing a plus. • Familiarity with microelectronics packaging and assembly a plus, including pick and place, die-attach, flip-chip, soldering, wire-bonding, encapsulation. • Knowledge of lighting and LEDs a plus. • Experience working in a research or advanced engineering lab setting.
