SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
This position is accountable for preparation of quotations for product/project orders while driving a high level of customer satisfaction. As a technical support representative, the applicant will be expected to resolve customer issues/challenges. The successful candidate will be able to analyze the needs of the customer, negotiate contracts and deliver a solution based on the customer's application requirements.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
.Creates solutions and responds to customer problems using appropriate application of SE products .Identifies from plans and engineering specifications a list of equipment and suggests product substitutions .Prepares approval and record drawings .Prepares price quotations .Identifies and initiates change orders based on modified customer drawings, incorporating appropriate price adjustments and price re-negotiations when necessary .Work proactively with outside sales reps, distributors, contractors, service and plant personnel .Responds to customer inquiries and recommends products to meet customers' needs .Responds to questions requiring interpretation and provides guidance and solutions to problems involving moderate technical product knowledge .Coordinates delivery between plants and customer .Provides technical assistance to customers .Resolves technical issues and warranty claims .Utilizes information to analyze discrepancies and takes appropriate action to resolve them to the customer's satisfaction
SAFETY HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
.Attend safety training arranged by HS&E Department .Attend monthly department safety meetings .Maintain in good condition and wear prescribed Personal Protective Equipment .Report all hazards, incidents and accidents immediately to your supervisor / manager .Comply with all Provincial HS&E legislation and regulations and Company policies and procedures .Maintain good housekeeping habits
QUALIFICATIONS:
. 4 year university degree or equivalent (Electrical Engineering) . 5+ years experience in Technical Support or Engineering . Demonstrated expertise in quotation and pricing management . Customer focused individual . Effective written and verbal communication skills . Excellent interpersonal skills . Knowledge of standard control, distribution and power quality products . Knowledge of Schneider Electric products would be a definite asset . Extensive knowledge of electrical equipment, circuitry and ability to read blueprints . Strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Office and Lotus Notes . Proven ability to drive change within an organization . Excellent time management skills
