Core Duties and Responsibilities include driving long term reliability/stability changes and design into production services through proactive deep dives and failure analysis data and granular service improvement plans. Fast, intuitive and experience technical application troubleshooting with fantastic communications skills will be where you begin. Infrastructure, SQL and changing Microsoft technologies are where you will spend much of your time for application support. Stability of enterprise applications is your primary focus. Moving across various technology areas and leveraging new relationships in these technology groups for faster and long term resolution will be where you thrive. You’ll move quickly on action plans gaining sponsorship with compelling technical and process fact finding. You’ll review our IT capabilities against service targets and drive improvement and stability for the most mission critical IT services. Your job will be to become the trusted partner in Application service and support. You will also be constantly researching best practices outside the immediate teams for industry and ITIL best practices and trends to adapt operations to optimize service operations and minimize service impacting outages.


Day in the life: You are extremely competent in SQL, Microsoft Core OS and IIS configurations and move easily in troubleshooting. You know or can learn to sponsor to change to design standards based on IT datacenter best practices and will follow all the advice you can find. You will drive design in BCM and high availability in all you touch. You thrive in technology change but do not require changes to all systems overnight to be happy in your technical long game. You can make this position much of what you want it to be both in technical focus and operational design in that it is an area of great opportunity. You can spend time in performance testing, tooling, design and longer term service engineering. You can Deep Dive process, technology and processes in distributed datasets and prefer to spend time on projects and drive high value in the outcome. If you have deep application or infrastructure IT experience and have experiences in sponsoring changes or driving complex projects in structured data driven processes or Six Sigma frameworks. You can bring more value in innovation here than in many areas in technical leadership and will play ‘ops manager’ when service is interrupted. This is an area of re-invigorated investment and as our top candidate you are experienced in and understand the value of end to end customer experiences in technology offerings and deliver new technology recommendations to engineering and the business fast and on deadline. Results and improvement of services from your accomplishments as well as collaboration and teaching about your success will be how you are differentiated.

Education and/or experiences:

Minimum 8 years’ experience operational and application troubleshooting and design skills in a development, test or operational environment including enterprise application experience within a large IT organization

Minimum 4 years SQL experience


Preferred Qualifications:

BA/BS

Strong verbal and written communications skills

The ability to work in and contribute to a strong team environment

Excellent Excel skills for data driven decision making.

Business or statistical analysis or strong previous experience analyzing and manipulating large data sets.
