Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
This is a technical lead/lead developer position supporting the development and maintenance of a web-based application. Under minimal supervision, develops, codes, tests, and debugs new software or enhancements to existing software. Possesses a good understanding of business applications. Works with technical staff to understand and resolve software problems, resolve customer complaints with software and respond to suggestions for software modifications or enhancements. May be involved in the development of software user manuals and demonstrate software. Responsibilities include:
* Software development on a .NET 2.0/3.5 and SQL Server 2005 platform. Development includes implementing system improvements/enhancements and resolving system defects within web-based application and its publishing framework. * Assignments involve knowledge of .NET 2.0, C#.NET, , T-SQL, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. * Providing technical support to two to five developers. * Assigning tasks and reviewing development assignments. * Deploying application releases within development and client environments. * Following the software development life cycle for each development task by producing detailed technical design documents, developing, and unit testing based on detailed project schedule. * Working closely with the functional team to determine feasibility of requirements. * Working with technical team lead to determine level of efforts for various assignments. * Providing guidance and mentoring to less experienced developers.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree (in Computer Science or related field) and 7-9 years of experience. * Extensive experience with (C# or ), JavaScript, CSS, HTML. * Advanced knowledge of T-SQL. * DoD Secret clearance must be obtainable.
Desired Qualifications:
* Experience with al publishing components. * Experience with object-oriented design/programming. * Experience with .NET 3.5 Framework. * Experience with Windows Server 2003 and IIS 6.
