About the Role Position is for a Web Application developer to work as part of the McAfee Labs. Applications are written to assist in the processing security threats by risk and compliance researchers and provide threat mitigation information to McAfee Products and customers. This is a very fast paced position as all applications and tools need to keep up with emerging security threats as well as scaling to deal with new threats when required. Primary Responsibilities: The responsibilities will include the following: * Software development on Windows platforms * Producing architecture and design specifications addressing required functionality * Bug fixing for developed software * Working with a team using agile methodologies to deliver solutions on time * Working closely with researchers to understand their requirements * 4-6 years of Software Application / Product development * You must have 3 years experience of Software Web & Application development experience working with Visual Studio, C#, , Ajax Remoting or Web Services. * Should have 1 years experience of writing queries and stored procedures for Microsoft SQL Server or equivalent * You should have experience designing and developing complex multi-tier client / server application systems. * Experience authoring detailed functional and system specification documents. * Must have a strong knowledge of secure programming techniques and secure implementation of Microsoft technologies. * Knowledge of TCP/IP, SMTP, HTTP and SSL a plus. * Excellent written and verbal communications skills are a must. * Must be a self starter and work at a senior level with the ability to design and implement complete system architectures * Bachelors/Masters in Engineering (preferably in IT or CS) * Database and Networking knowledge mandatory. * Exposure to the Security domain is a must Competencies / Skill sets required for the role: 1. . Agile software development process management and continuous improvement 2. ASP .NET, C#, Ajax, Web services, JavaScript, MS SQL Server, SQL and stored procedures. 3. Clear and concise written & verbal communication skills 4. Process oriented exposure to Software Quality. 5. Exposure to Build acceptance, System integration testing and release acceptance testing. 6. Security experience a plus. 7. Candidates from product companies preferred.
