SecondMarket is seeking experienced software programmers for opportunities in our technology area to work as Senior Software Engineers. As a Senior Software Engineer at SecondMarket, you will design, build and maintain SecondMarket's Java - based platform for trading alternative assets.
As we shift an entire industry, we are also shifting our technology stack. SecondMarket employs the traditional stack of Java, Spring, JMS, etc. but we're also looking at Lift / Scala. We're using Mongo & Postgres. We're looking for people who can learn quickly and execute efficiently. Change happens fast and we're employing the best.
Here are some of the skills we are seeking;
- Experience working with Java, Spring, Spring MVC or Lift/Scala
- Experience with JavaScript is a plus
- Experience of building Web 2.0 client applications
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience working in an agile and product focused organization
- Proven track record building large software products
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Additionally you should;
- Be passionate about writing well structured and easy to maintain code
- Want to work in an environment using continuous integration and continuous deployment
- Love solving complex problems
- Must be self-motivated and a go getter
- Possess great interpersonal skills
- Desire to work in a software product organization
- Be a team player willing to collaborate with others
- Have a CS background preferred but not mandatory.
