Description: Duties and Responsibilities
Candidate will act as a part of a small team responsible for the implementation and integration of the JBoss Portal platform supporting the corporate web presence for Allscripts/Misys. Candidate will:
. Design, Develop, and Deploy enterprise portals utilizing JBoss Portal . Enhances features of existing applications . Manage portal sites that provide enterprise-level web solutions to internal and external organizations . Research, coordinate, and recommend options for portal site design and implementation . Translation of business requirements into technical specs . Working with business analysts to translate ideas into real-world solutions . Plans and performs system Integration testing . Performs coding and unit testing of software projects with high quality deliverable . Assists in setting design and standards . Participates actively in code reviews . Debugs and maintains existing code . Actively participate on the performance tuning of the application (if necessary). . Applies and acquires business and product knowledge in the performance of assigned projects . May act as mentor for other team members . May participate in user documentation process . May communicate with and support end user
Technical Skills Required: The ideal candidate would possess some if not all of the below technical skills: . 5 or more years of Web UI software development experience. . Experience implementing Enterprise Content Management Systems . Solid experience designing and implementing solutions using JBoss Portal . Solid experience designing and implementing web-based apps based on server-side UI frameworks such as Struts and JSF . Has good understanding on frameworks like Spring & Hibernate. . Strong AJAX programming experience . Experience developing web portals . Experience in using at least 1 Java EE application server (Tomcat, Weblogic, or JBoss preferred) . Excellent oral/written communication skills . Hands on experience in Web services, SOAP, XHTML, XSLT , XML and OOAD using UML . Very good experience in Oracle RDBMS, SQL, JDBC, SQL tuning. . Experience with Open Source and Open Source standards in solutions . Good exposure of the Version Management tools.
Other Skills Required . Ability to apply business knowledge in external or interdepartmental efforts. . Ability to work independently. . Solid logic and organizational skills. . Excellent inter-personal skills. . Able to maintain confidentiality. . Strong software development abilities
