This position has primary responsibility for analyzing business requirements and developing test plans/cases based on those requirements, leading the software testing activities for medium to complex initiatives and performing software testing across all applications to ensure programs function as expected and meet the business intent. Candidates must demonstrate excellent oral/written communication skills as well as the interpersonal team skills. Candidates must demonstrate an ability to work in a fast paced/dynamic team environment and possess time management skills to meet schedules while working independently with general direction.
Responsibilities:
Participates in Sprint planning and daily Scrum meetings, leading the testing of site enhancement projects of medium size and varying complexity.
Evaluates and provides recommendations regarding user experience and usability.
Assists in the definition and implementation of quality assurance (QA) policies and procedures.
Interacts with both technical and non-technical resources across business units.
Is involved in the planning, design, and requirements gathering phases of the software development life cycle.
Develops or assists in the development of functional, performance, and security requirements.
Performs functional, regression, performance, and security tests on applications.
Evaluates test results to determine compliance with test plans, established business processes and business requirements.
Creates time/effort estimates and provides project status reports.
Follows industry accepted project management methodology and standards on all projects.
Requirements:
Minimum of 4-6 years experience in software testing (retail e-commerce preferred)
Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS and XML. Experience working with rich media (Flash, HTML5, video, etc.) preferred.
Ability to translate technical and business requirements into specific test cases/plans with little pre-existing documentation of system functionality.
Knowledge and understanding of test methodologies such as unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing with experience executing written test plans, test cases, and regression tests.
Ability to retrieve and manipulate data within SQL databases (T-SQL scripting preferred).
Strong verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills as well as strong analytical, troubleshooting, and follow-through skills.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be competent in common productivity tools including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
