Requisition # E1881179 Job Title Senior Software Test Engineer Post Date 7/29/2010 Division Corporate Engineering Job Area Engineering - Software Location California - Santa Clara Job Function Join an outstanding team of System test engineers working on testing Qualcomm position location technology products. Skills/Experience At least 5 years experience in following areas: -Strong system test methodology, ability to follow software development and Systems Test processes. -Strong Server Test background including functional(Protocol, Call flow testing), End to End, Performance, Load & High Availability testing. -Strong skills in test automation[incl framework development with 3rd party tools and scripting languages (Perl) and/or tool development in Java. -Familiar with Solaris, Linux and Windows. -Experience in telecommunication protocols. -Knowledge of wireless positioning systems, particularly Assisted GPS and GSM/CDMA/WCDMA networks. -Knowledge of J2EE applications and testing methodologies. -Experience with Oracle DB, IBM Websphere, JBoss, Jetty and VCS, 3rd party automation tools such as JMeter, Selenium useful. -Able to understand Systems test process and follow process guidelines. -Ability to understand concepts very quickly and ramp up on the project independently.
Additional/Preferred Skills: -Excellent Perl programmer -Worked with Server deployment team in a customer or production environment. -At least 5 years working on test automation. -Knowledge of Qualcomm specific technology : inGeo technology, Assisted GPS, Position Location Technologies, ASIA, QPST, QXDM, QCAT. -Other than Perl scripting, ability to develop/test software in Java, C, C++ and Tcl is a plus.

Responsibilities -Develop Test plan , Test case design -Implement , Execute and automate Test cases -Design/Develop automation framework , develop test scripts -Engage in system trouble-shooting, problem reporting, and tracking. -Work with cross functional teams like deployment, commercialization, development , product management and provide support as required. -Plan , configure & maintain System test environment and work with IT as required to resolve any network/hardware issues.
