The team supports millions and millions of Office customers through the use of cutting edge web services technologies. We provide the magic that allows Office clients to support online and offline help, view customer submitted templates and images, and to get relevant online training. We also integrate with Bing and FAST to provide world-class search functionality to Office customers. From the other side, this team provides and supports the platform, tools and processes that enable Microsoft writers to build and publish content to the website on an ongoing basis. From analytics to publishing to custom Office solutions, this team does it all; client, server and hosted services.
The environment is fast-paced and requires a passion for innovative testing solutions. We are looking for a senior SDET who is ready to take on a leadership role in driving our team toward a more data-driven engineering approach, using and analyzing data coming in from many existing pipes and applying the learning to testing needs and requirements. In addition, you will need to write robust test plans, design test cases, develop new test automation (including tools), debug issues across the system, help establish sound test engineering processes, and influence and contribute to the future versions of Office. Requirements:
- 5 years industry experience in software testing or development
- A minimum of 4 years coding experience with C#/C++
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment
- BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience
