Senior Software Tester
SUMMARY OF ROLE: The Senior Software Tester will establish and maintain processes for evaluating hardware, software, and associated documentation for a web based legacy system. The individual in this role will conduct and participate in formal and informal reviews at pre-determined points throughout the development life cycle. This person will also participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems. The Senior Software Tester will exhibit leadership qualifies, offer recommendations/solutions and mentor less senior testers as needed.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for managing multiple projects in order to achieve service level agreements and exceptional client satisfaction within NRC’s strategic accounts.
Review of software requirements
Preparation/review of Test Plans
Preparation/review of Test Cases
Preparation/review of Test Strategies
Perform regression tests of product releases
Active participation in guiding overall Quality Control strategy and standards
Execution of tests
Reporting of defects
Preparation of test reports
Providing final acceptance testing of releases before moving new versions into production
Experience integrating and utilizing automated test suites.
Ensure clients are receiving services and deliverables as stated in the Test Plan/Strategy.
Coordinate and facilitate all internal communication/meetings needed to service the client with excellence.
Ensure all timelines are met and responsibilities are fulfilled by team members.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience:
8-10 years software testing experience
Experience with large amounts of data
Strong background providing excellence customer service
Communication/
Organizational Skills:
Ability to multi-task and keep track of many difference objectives, on different time lines is required. Must be an exceptional communicator with experience managing relationships internally with associates.
Technical Skills:
Microsoft .NET
Microsoft SQL Server
Web Services
Working with API-based software
Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
