The Sales and Trading desktop and platform group delivers a set of desktop components and is responsible for the hosted products infrastructure and services. There is an opened position for a system engineer in the integration and release team, responsible for the Windows operating system design, configuration and troubleshooting of in-house hosted platforms.
The successful candidate will be involved in the configuration and maintenance of Windows 2003/2008 server. The job will focus as well on troubleshooting applications issues at the operating system, windows services and active directory and group policy permission level.
Responsibilities :
* Configure and maintain Windows 2003/2008 server and services.
* Troubleshooting applications issues at the operating system, windows services and active directory and group policy permission level.
* Write and maintain documentation related to windows services design and configuration.
* Understand production constraints and advise other teams accordingly during the design and testing phases
* Explore level of knowledge and scripting on Windows 2003/2008 to be able to support the application deployment and automation.
Qualifications
* At least 3 years experience in the system and network engineering area.
* Good command of English, both speaking and writing. * Strong technical Skills and knowledge in the following area: - Advanced Windows server 2003/2008 administration and configuration - Active Directory and Domain Group Policies - Scripting (MS DOS/BAT Scripts, VB Scripts) - Microsoft Clustering/Microsoft SQL Clustering and high availabilities * Server virtualization with VMWare products (GSX, ESX, Infrastructure 3). * Maintenance of large and complex platforms. * IBM Tivoli Suite (TPM, Netcool). * Shared storage (NAS / SAN). * Network administration and troubleshooting.
