The Senior Systems Analyst will be responsible for implementing projects related to the Business Intelligence Data Warehouse. The ideal person will be capable of working autonomously and leading projects, while still participating in and leading the analysis, design, development and implementation efforts.
* Design, develop, test, document, and maintain code. * Estimate and plan development work, track and report on task progress, and deliver work on schedule. * Work within a structured development environment that includes Lean/Agile development methodology, version control, automated unit testing, automated builds, writing appropriate technical documentation, design reviews, and other structured development practices. * Document coding and design activities necessary for the proper installation, maintenance and operation of the software. * Assist in all necessary project phases for system implementations, enhancements to existing applications, and system upgrades - including functional requirements gathering, fit/gap analysis, functional design specifications, development/configuration activities, execution of appropriate unit test scenarios and assist with issue resolution during user acceptance testing. * Document business processes, business requirements, use cases, technical designs, test cases and other project lifecycle deliverables as required. * Provide functional expertise and direction specific to application functionality and business processes. * Facilitate and/or participate in functional and technical solution reviews with management, developers, architects, and business representatives. * Collaborate with other technical staff to research, evaluate, develop, test and implement new and/or currently unused functional and technical solutions to enhance the value of business systems. Evaluate current and future leveragability of new functionality in anticipation of changing/evolving business needs and direction. * Collaborate and communicate across a wide variety of audiences within the technical organization and business end-user community. * Manage multiple and competing priorities and deliver on project commitments. * Assist in systems and operational production support of various Order-to-Cash applications as required. * Assist with IT-related Sarbanes-Oxley requirements including control assessments and system documentation requirements.
Qualifications
* BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field (or equivalent experience). * Minimum of 10 years proven development experience. * Minimum of 10 years data modeling experience (5+ years of Dimensional and Relational modeling). * Minimum 5 years of ETL & Data Warehousing methods and technologies using Informatica ( 8.6+ ). * Build and design Data Marts in support of Business Objects(XI 3.0) integration. * Design, build & populate databases, cubes, views to support various data marts for analytical reports. * Ability to design, implement, document functional data marts. * Data modeling and developing objects in Oracle (5+ years Dimensional and Relational Modeling). * Experience creating staging designs and analyzing source data. * XML solid understanding and script development. * Minimum 5 years Oracle ( 9i/10g) and SQL Server (2003/2005), ODBC connectivity. * Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills. * Strong Unix skills (Solaris), ODBC connectivity. * Minimum 5 years of PowerCenter - creating mappings. * Minimum 5 years Informatica PowerExchange real-time processing and/or web service. * Informatica administration and environment management. * Oracle Designer tools a plus. * PeopleSoft CRM and/or FSCM a plus. * Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, lead and participate in system architecture conversations with the team and the project architect. * Outstanding analytical skills, design skills, technical writing skills, and problem-solving ability. * Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
