Working as a Sr. Project Manager, you will manage and assume full responsibility for the lifecycle of an assigned project of medium to very high complexity from initiation to completion. The project may span across multiple regions, functions, and/or business units.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • May include the management of extremely large and complex projects, with multiple sub-projects, requiring senior level oversight and extensive executive communications
  • Oversees project activities to ensure the timely delivery of stated business benefits, comparing actuals to plans and adjusting plans as necessary
  • Responsible for detailed work plans, schedules, tracking, project estimates, resources, and status reports
  • Assesses, plans for, and manages project risks including mitigation & contingency plans
  • Manages issues, jeopardies, escalations, and problem resolutions
  • Defines project scope and ensures changes to scope and deliverables are managed
  • Acts as liaison with regions, IT, vendors and others as needed, providing communication and status regarding the progress of the project
  • May assist with RFP development, evaluation, and supplier selection, as well as ongoing relationships with suppliers or consultants
  • Utilizes knowledge of business, industry and technology to create business requirements, and develop business and operational deployment strategies
  • Requires incumbent to work on site from an office location

The Senior Project Manager Network Technical Engineer typically reports into third level management and may oversee a team or be an individual contributor. Position may provide training or mentoring to less experienced staff, and may also provide feedback for the evaluation of new staff.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Three years of project management experience in a sales/operations or network deployment role
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Ability to effectively manage relationships with cross-functional partners to drive projects toward completion
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other standard office computer applications
  • Ability to communicate across functional groups
Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or Finance
  • Four or more years of project management experience in a sales/operations role
  • PMI certification preferred
  • Familiarity with wireless terminology and AT&T Mobility systems
  • Ability to communicate with outside vendors when applicable
