General Summary:
SENTEL operates the Air Force Medical Information System Test Bed (AFMISTB), which performs independent Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) on medical information software. Located at Port San Antonio, Texas, the Test Bed employs comprehensive testing methodologies to evaluate medical information software systems prior to deployment to Air Force medical service facilities around the world. This position is for a Senior Technical Analyst with demonstrated experience in technical planning, design, development, implementation, and operational test support, preferably within the Air Force, DoD, or other Federal agency. Additionally, significant hands-on clinical experience within a DoD medical treatment facility (or civilian equivalent) is highly desirable.
Duties and Responsibilities: * Lead and participate in teams to determine project scope, develop performance measures, maximize efficiency and satisfy legal/regulatory requirements for assigned programs. Use clinical and technical experience to assist Project Managers/Integrated Product Teams/High Performance Teams in the development of meaningful, valid and testable software and system requirements that support the customer's desired business processes. * Develop and execute test plans (including automated and manual test cases) for operational test and evaluation of medical information system application testing and technical software analysis. Determine Overall Test Strategy to include: Scope of Test (structural system testing and/or functional system testing), Testing Methodology, (automated, manual, or combination), Testing Type (Performance, Usability, Load/Stress, Boundary, Compatibility, Reliability, Maintainability, Data Integrity, Regulatory Compliance, etc.). * Develop written artifacts to support assigned testing, market research, and information assurance duties (test plans, test reports, information assurance artifacts, etc). Prepare various pre-test documents (Initial Assessment Plan (IAP), Assessment Execution Document (AED), Test Matrix, Test Scenarios, and Test Scripts). * Lead and execute operational testing to include user group coordination, test monitoring, data collection, and analysis of findings. Detect, capture, identify and report defects and other user complaints. Compile information into final report. * Coordinate with project manager to set and evaluate milestone criteria to ensure high-quality products are released on schedule. * Assist in the review, maintenance, and improvement of current software test methodologies and processes to include the use of automated software test tools. * Develop and maintain relationships with key customers / partners / internal coworkers, including participation in Requirements Integrated Product Teams and High Performance Teams. Also serves as the Technical Lead on market research projects. * Other duties that may be assigned to meet company and departmental goals and objectives.

Education and/or Experience Requirements: * BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineer or other applicable degree; * 1-2 year of Software Testing and Test Automation development. * Minimum of 2 years of hands-on clinical experience in a DoD medical treatment facility (or civilian equivalent). ** Combination of experience and education is acceptable.** * Demonstrated Technical writing/report writing skills are a must. * Demonstrated information management requirements analysis skills. * Demonstrated ability to successfully lead or work within a medically related multi-service, multidisciplinary team environment. * Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in written and oral communications. * Some travel will be required (~10%).
Certificate, Licenses, Registration, Clearance: 1. May be required to pass a background check and drug screening 2. Must be able to obtain SECRET security clearance 3. RN or similar certification (desired) 4. CompTIA+ Certification (desired) 5. Certified Software Test Professional (CSTP) or equivalent (desired) 6. Defense Acquisition University Level 2 Test and Evaluation (desired) 7. Defense Acquisition University Level 1 SPRDE – Systems Engineering (desired)
Computer Skills: Experience with automated test tools (i.e., Morae, SnagIt, Test Complete, etc.).
