External Job Title: Senior Technical Writer City: Bangalore State/Province/Region: Karnataka Country: India Job Description: * Write highly technical documentation (including conceptual, task-based, and reference documentation) that describes the functionality of PowerCenter, Data Explorer, and PowerCenter Connects * Create project plans, maintain schedules for specific projects, and communicate documentation status to documentation manager * Edit documentation for completeness, style, and accuracy to ensure it reflects Informatica's commitment to quality * Mentor new writers and less experienced writers * May have to lead projects and supervise work of other technical writers Required Skills: * 5+ years technical writing experience (software) * BA/MA/BS/MS (humanities, social sciences, engineering, or journalism) * Experience writing to DBA audience (Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, and DB2) * Experience with databases, SQL, XML, application servers, data warehousing, web services, data profiling, and data modeling * Experience with FrameMaker, Web Works Publisher, and HTML * Excellent analytical and written communication skills * Excellent leadership and project management skills * Ability to quickly learn technical information * Ability to meet deadlines and help others meet them * Ability to multitask, prioritize, and develop schedules Desired:
