Senior Technical Writer
Title: Senior Technical Writer Location: California-Santa Clara * Responsible for producing HDS Academy technical courseware according to HDS corporate and Academy standards; Deliverables include MS Word documents, PDF files, and PowerPoint presentations for student guides, lab guides and instructor guides for instructor-led and web-based training curriculum * Participate in improving courseware development processes * Some experience in a learning organization preferred
* Computer skills including proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook,Adobe Acrobat, and database experience * Effective written and verbal communication skills * Basic understanding of Instructional Design * eLearning development a plus * Graphic creation and manipulation a plus * Audio and video editing * Knowledge of Articulate software desired * Experience in a Learning environment - where they have worked with instructional material is a must * Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and deadlines * Ability to work independently and as a member of various project teams * Detail and process oriented * Ability to interface and participate with diverse individuals located in different geographic locations * Knowledge of data storage industry terminology desired * Understanding and familiarity of Project Management preferred * Five years experience required
