Vistronix is actively seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join our team. The selected candidate will perform as a member of an IT team supporting a government client in Washington, DC. In this role, the Technical Writer will produce high quality technical documents user manuals, installation guides, issue papers, and other documents. The ideal candidate will be a self starter with a Bachelors degree from an accredited university with at least 5 years of professional experience.



Responsibilities include:


* Write technical documentation required to support development and architecture efforts;

* Assist developers to write System specific guides and help documents;

* Support the team and the Program manager to write and review program planning document such as Governance plan, CM Plan, Communication Plan, Program Metrics, etc.;

* Attend meetings and take minutes and notes as needed during governance board, Architecture Review Board, Technology Control Board etc. sessions;

* Assist in developing project schedule, WBS and program plans;

* Assist in preparing slides, decks, document formatting and for large meetings and trainings;

* Support the Program Manager to Organize and conduct offsite and onsite trainings for different audiences;

* Editing documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency;

* Establish and adhere to standards for various technical documents;

* Write supporting end-user documentation (help documentation, quick guides, etc.).



Requirements:




Education and Experience:


* Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

* 8 years experience in technical writing

* Strong Microsoft Office Professional skills including Word, Visio, and Powerpoint

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Strong interpersonal skills

* Able to handle high volume workload in a fast paced environment

* Excellent follow through and accuracy skills

* Effective organization and time management skills

* Strong analytical skills
