Senior Vendor Manager

Job Description:

Wireless Generation, a fast-growth, multi-state educational software company, has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Vendor Manager with expertise in the full scope of Vendor Management areas. This position is a unique opportunity to make a significant contribution to a work environment that attracts, retains and grows the brightest talent in the industry. The Senior Vendor Manager will be a key contributor to the organization’s growth.

Responsibilities of Senior Vendor Manager:

Recommends and establishes procurement strategy, processes, and procedures that are consistent with corporate policy, project requirements and sound commercial, legal and ethical practices.

Responsible for the systematic execution of processes and procedures and for the timely and cost effective purchasing of products and services.

Helps to manage the activities of the procurement function, including the analysis, negotiation and execution of contracts from vendors.

Manages the full cycle of all purchases, agreements and contracts from initiation to completion.

Manages supplier relationships and service level administration for vendors.

Acts as a liaison between company and vendors in any dispute resolution concerning supplier performance.

Evaluates supplier base for cost savings opportunities.

Identifies and engages services of new suppliers in support of needed requirements.

Requirements of Senior Vendor Manager:

Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent work experience.

Extremely strong background and knowledge of contract and vendor management.
