More information about Thomson Reuters and its financial performance can be found on Senior Virtualization/Storage Engineer is a mission critical technical position responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Virtualization and Storage (SAN/NAS) technologies including architecture, engineering, implementation, and AOM.
The Senior Virtualization/Storage will work with System Administrators responsible for the Tradeweb server and applications infrastructure, with network department personnel responsible for LAN/WAN infrastructure, with developers and application support staff relying on virtualized systems and storage elements, and with the Tradeweb global infrastructure teams that will need the expertise of the Senior Virtualization/Storage Engineer for their local projects.
* Assist infrastructure management and architects in the formulation of Virtualization and Storage strategy. * Assist infrastructure management and architects in the formulation of Virtualization and Storage road maps. * Design of Virtualization and Storage infrastructure. * Vendor analysis and evaluation. * Implementation of Virtualization and Storage infrastructure. * Day-to-day management of virtualized environments. * Day-to-day management of storage environments. * Assist with AOM activities of a large Windows infrastructure. * Knowledge Transfer
Qualifications
* BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic engineering, or related disciplines. * Minimum 10 years of experience in financial IT environments. * Minimum 5 years of experience with virtualization technologies particularly VMWare. * Minimum 5 years of experience with storage technologies including DAS, Fiber Channel, iSCSI, NAS, SAN, RAID, and solid state devices. * Minimum 5 years of experience with products from NetApp and EqualLogic. * Knowledge of enterprise applications such as Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft MOM is a plus. * Good understanding of networking protocols is a plus. * Project-focused, able to run multiple tasks for different functional areas. * Ability to function independently with minimal supervision as well as within a collaborative team environment. * Strong written and verbal communication skills.
