This is a position for someone with a strong background in web analytics and site optimization. The Senior Web Analyst will define, execute and analyze web reporting to uncover critical observations and trends that will maximize our e-commerce and online marketing efforts.
As such this position will contribute in a variety of ways:
Develop actionable insights and recommendations for a global team of web business owners
Advance our understanding of the behavior of visitors and customers across multiple web sites
Basic Functions:
The Senior Web Analyst should have experience in research, statistical analysis and advanced modeling techniques. The ability to interpret data from a variety of sources including our web analytics application, order processing system, customer database, email service provider, online surveys, and ad servers into meaningful insight is crucial to the success of this position.
Additional responsibilities include:
Analyzing and documenting the impact of online marketing tactics, site changes, events and other key drivers of web visitor behavior
Presenting web analytics to department management, business owners and web personnel
Develop variance and regression analysis to provide optimization tactics for online merchandising and marketing initiatives.
Support cross-business unit initiatives
Qualifications
5+ years proven experience with web analytics and site optimization
Bachelor's or advanced degree in a quantitative field (mathematics, economics, statistics, or applied science)
Experience with web analytics tools such as Coremetrics, Omniture and/or
Google Analytics
Advanced Excel skills
Experience using SQL, SAS, and/or SPSS.
Demonstrated ability to design experiments and perform hypothesis testing and statistical evaluation (t-test, ANOVA)
Strong intellectual curiosity combined with a knack for recognizing correlations, trends and statistical irregularities
Strong understanding of industry trends in online retail
Should be a motivated self-starter, process-oriented with high attention to detail.
Demonstrated participation in social networks and blogs.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexibility to accommodate demanding projects schedules.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
