Job Description
Cactus Design is looking for an experienced, creative and responsible Senior Web Designer/Developer who consistently strives to produce fantastic work and enjoys bringing new ideas to each project. You have 4+ years of Full time experience in planning and designing websites and online platforms, and possess the skills to take the lead on projects from planning stages through to final design. You are passionate about website design and enjoy challenges. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fun and fast-paced work environment.
Responsibilities
Responsible for full cycle of web design (Concept, creative direction, wireframe, design, SEO and implementation of HTML/CSS)
Design and develop wireframes for new websites
QA the final product ensuring that all design elements are implemented properly
Ability to plan and design websites and web applications, stay abreast of new developments in software packages as well as Internet and related technologies
Ability to set milestones and lead the online team
Manage projects, assets and budgets and regularly meet with clients
Collaborate on multi-faceted online strategies and initiatives including social media campaigns
Skills
Extremely detail oriented. Strives for pixel perfect implementation on all browsers.
Hand written HTML, CSS and Javascript skills (experience with JQuery a plus), PHP Scripting experience a plus
Experience working with Web-CMS systems (WordPress) systems an asset.
Computer and Technology Knowledge: Multimedia Software, Image editing software, Project management software, Programming software, HTML editing software, Web site creation and management software
Effective team-player not afraid of taking initiative
Self-motivated and able to turn around tight timelines and manage multiple projects at once
Problem-solver that can think outside the box when required
Demonstrate a strong sense of creativity to meet business needs
Dependable, responsible and personable
Professional skill level with Adobe Publishing Applications is very important: Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver
Experience with Mac environment and OS X

Education
Completion of College/University graphic design and/or web design program ( please list certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
