More information about Thomson Reuters and its financial performance can be found on < technical support role will deliver a high standard of service to the Content Operations organisation in Gdynia, and elsewhere, as part of the Level 2 Hybrid support model. The successful candidate will be working with local and remote technical teams throughout EMEA to ensure smooth and effective service delivery to stakeholders and customers across Content Operations EMEA. Working within the wider technical team, you will be responsible for the provision of second and third line system support, primarily the non-core applications and systems not covered by Fujitsu and the Ivory contract.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* resolve incidents within SLAs * update tickets regularly of resolution progress and ensure feedback to customers * daily problem and capacity management checks of Content Operations infrastructure, daily backups (if applicable) * documenting solutions to incidents of benefit to the wider support team as a shared knowledge base * follow service delivery procedures and processes * installation of Content Operations desktop on top of the approved global desktop model * ensuring licensing compliance of non-core software * perform any duties that might reasonably be expected of anyone in Content Operations Service Delivery.
This role supports all Thomson Reuters Content Operations employees regionally (EMEA) as well as at the successful applicant's home site using remote assistance or other tools. Overtime will be required from time to time as well as flexibility to daily working hours to possibly cover team absences in other areas.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong knowledge of PC/laptop hardware setup and configuration using Microsoft-based operating systems with emphasis on Windows XP. * Strong knowledge and experience using, and troubleshooting, Microsoft Office products, especially Excel. * Previous experience of a network environment including a basic knowledge of TCP/IP and LAN/WAN infrastructure.
DESIRED SKILLS:
* Previous experience of using incident logging software. * Previous experience of Thomson Reuters products desirable with a basic understanding of the financial markets. * The successful applicant may, with the support of their team colleagues, be expected to learn on the job where formal training is not available in the support of Thomson Reuters products. * They should demonstrate a desire to learn new skills and be prepared to conscientiously provide excellent service to their customers without constant supervision. * MCP certification desired, ITIL Foundation certification.
