This position is for the Youngwood Service Center, one of four domestic service depots, supporting the Sleep, Diagnostic, Children's Medical Ventures and Home Monitoring business units. Various types and categories of medical devices are repaired and refurbished for our customers and for internal rental fleet and recertified unit sales.
Your Responsibilities: This position will have direct responsibility for leading service activities on the 2nd shift. The incumbent will be trained on 1st shift for 1-3 months and then move, with the existing team, to 2nd shift. Please note that the team may move to 1st shift at a future date.
The incumbent has direct supervisory responsibility for direct labor, including technicians, assemblers, and logistics clerks. The incumbent is also accountable for maintaining quality system compliance. The primary internal customers of this position are the HHS Service leadership team as well as the HHS Product Managers, Engineering and QA teams.

Meet established Key Performance Indices for the service center. . Take a lead role in the team's continuous improvement activities. . Be responsible for leading and personal development of the service team with respect to training, performance management, salary administration, overtime authorization, hiring, firing, administering disciplinary action, and application of organizational policies. . Make staffing recommendations and implementing staffing plans along with providing input to and operating within the departmental budget. . Ensure regulatory compliance while promoting safe working method and a safe environment.
Your Profile: Education: . Associates degree in business or technical field related to service, manufacturing or logistics, required. . BS degree in fields noted above or equivalent work experience, preferred.
Experience: . One to three years proven supervisory experience in service, manufacturing or distribution-related environment, preferred. . Demonstrated leadership experience, particularly in the area of taking the lead role in solving multi-disciplinary operational issues is required. . Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, preferred. . Ability to work independently and complete multiple assignments on time is required. . Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. . Experience working and/or leading within a demand based manufacturing environment, required.
