Job SummaryWe are seeking individuals with SharePoint 2007/2010 Architecture and Microsoft business analysis experience that are interested in an exciting and challenging career in consulting.  As a Catapult Systems consultant you will have the opportunity to work with the latest Microsoft technologies and solutions in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

• For SharePoint 2010 Plans, designs, and maintains:
  • Physical topologies and services architecture
  • Disaster recovery (backup, restore) and availability
  • Infrastructure capacity (users, topology)
  • Farm performance and availability
  • Migration and upgrade  
  • Security and compliance requirements
  • Information architecture (interprets taxonomy)
  • Information search strategy integration with other data sources (LOB, third-party products)
  • Client application services deployment
• Work with customers on administering, deploying, managing, monitoring, upgrading, migrating, and designing SharePoint servers
• Design custom code for projects that are deployed to SharePoint servers. This includes technology selection across the many ways to build code in SharePoint, ensuring the team development environment is configured, creating a strategy for code deployment, versioning, configuration, or structure. The candidate also leads a team of SharePoint developers
• Responsible for architecting and configuring SharePoint and related technologies, including Internet Information Services (IIS), Windows Server 2008, and Active Directory, and networking infrastructure services
• Drive the SharePoint envisioning and planning process, schedule and change management for an entire organization
• Produce project artifacts such as requirements documents, governance plans, organization readiness plans and other deliverables for a SharePoint engagement
• Quickly gain and understanding of a particular vertical industry and apply similar SharePoint solution design patterns
• Working closely with customers to understand and manage expectations
• Working within the guidelines of Catapult’s project and process management best practice
• Assist with technical pre-sales activities

Requirements

• Candidates generally have ten or more years of IT experience, and five or more years of specific architectural experience
• Consistent track record of capability to translate business problems into technology solutions
• Thorough understanding of Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 design and architecture
• Thorough understanding of Microsoft , Windows Server, Internet Information Services, and other core technologies related to SharePoint products and technologies
• Ability to speak, understand, and write fluent English
• Multiple Projects with hands-on experience with Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010: installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and custom development
• Consider an expert at SharePoint end user features for SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint 2007
• 24 to 36 Months of mapping end user request and requirements to SharePoint solutions
• Led or was a team member responsible for requirements analysis for a successful deployment of SharePoint 2010 with multiple departments, teams and significant organizational complexity
• Has worked with structured methodology such as Agile with SharePoint projects
• Has experience working in a services organization or role within a business
• Typically requires minimum of 8 years of experience with a Microsoft technology focused organization
• Excellent consulting skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and team members
• Must be able to lead customer SharePoint engagements

• Certification 70-576: PRO: Designing and Developing Microsoft SharePoint 2010 Applications
• Certification 70-667: TS: Microsoft SharePoint 2010, Configuring
• Certification 70-668: PRO: Microsoft SharePoint 2010, Administrator
• Experience with Deployment of Internet facing sites with SharePoint 2010
• Configuration Experience with SharePoint designer
• Experience with SharePoint Site Administration
• Experience with requirements for Business Intelligence and Application Development projects
