We have a contract position, to August 31, 2012, for a SharePoint Developer to support learning across the Board as part of our Learning Technology Support Services department. This position calls for a well organized self-starter with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills.
Reporting to the Portal and Collaboration Team Leader, the SharePoint Developer will be responsible for developing custom SharePoint 2007 solutions, including workflows, web parts, features and custom templates.
Working in conjunction with the SharePoint team, you will:
work with key stakeholders to distil business requirements into technical functional requirements for the Internet/Intranet
arrange and perform testing on custom developed components
plan, develop and implement approved changes
attend all relevant meetings
carry out other related duties and special projects as required by the Team Leader - Portal and Collaboration System Analyst.
As a SharePoint Developer, you will be able to apply your:
Post-secondary degree in Information Technology or equivalent combination of experience and education
Competency with SDLC and test methodologies
Extensive working knowledge and experience developing in C# using Visual Studio
Experience developing, and working with, web services and web applications
Experience developing in SharePoint, creating custom web parts, workflow and features
Experience with, and understanding of, XML, XSLT, XSD, JavaScript, CSS, XML, XSL, jQuery, CSS and master pages
Excellent communication skills to deal effectively with Board personnel and technical staff.
