SharePoint Developer
This individual will be a Senior Software Developer working on custom development projects primarily for the company's SharePoint Intranet. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, packaging, and preparing SharePoint solutions for deployment by the Release Team. Work with the technical leads, analysts, project managers and release team members to translate design into product including programming, testing, and implementation tasks. Prepare and maintain related technical documentation. Under general supervision and the software development guidelines and technology standards defined by Apollo Corporate IT, this position provides a high level of technical expertise in the design, development, coding, testing and debugging of new software or significant enhancements to existing software to increase the effectiveness of information technology support and application for business operations. Primary Accountabilities: * This position designs, develops, codes, tests and debugs software for those applications in which a significant level of technical expertise is required* Work with technical staff to understand and analyze complex software problems and develop specifications to resolve them* You may make suggestions or offer alternative resolutions for software problems or enhancements* Participate in the development of software user manuals to support the ongoing use and application of the software* You may demonstrate software to others to introduce them to new or enhanced applications* Provide direction and support and assists in the training of less experienced software development staff to orient them and increase their understanding of more complex software development* You may act as a team leader on less complex projects* Perform other duties as assigned or apparentThe successful applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): * Thorough knowledge and understanding of software development as typically obtained through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Science, or a related field* Minimum 2 years of developing custom applications using C#, ASP .NET, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 and MS SQL* Hands-on experience with SharePoint architectural design and configuring, developing, and supporting MOSS solutions* Experience creating and executing test plans* Ability to translate user requirements into system designs and technical specifications* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Critical thinker with excellent problem solving skills that can make independent decisions within area of responsibility and expertise Preferences: * 4-6 years of software development experience* Experience with architectural design, development, and support in Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010* Experience leading development activities for junior developers For consideration, please send your resume to Paul Montoya at today!
