Siemens Healthcare Managed Services has an immediate opening for a Systems Analyst with experience implementing and/or supporting clinical information systems to work on-site at the Charleston, WV location. This position provides installation and operational support for clinical applications being utilized and implemented at one our client hospital sites. The candidate needs to have the ability to work in a team environment and will be directed by an on-site Siemens Delivery Manager.
Responsibilities: .Installing/building and/or supporting the Soarian Clinical application. .Responsible for completion of customer IT analyst tasks (analysis, adaptation, testing, etc.) per project work plan during installation/building. .Post-live support tasks will include but are not limited to: SIEV inbound interface error resolution, application break/fix resolution, application requests for enhancement, checkout and testing of software updates. .Evaluates complex systems needs of staff and operating departments; interviews users to determine information needs and sources of required data. .Develops, tests, and modifies complex internal application systems. .Designs complex systems, modules and/or approaches and required enhancements. .Performs complex coding, reviewing, preparing test data, testing and debugging and implementing of system building. .Performs complex program, system and user documentation for systems created. .Performs complex analysis and troubleshooting for various business applications. .Performs full range of standard work for the professional field. Identifies and resolves complex problems and applies problem-solving skills in order to deal with most situations.
Position requirements: .Experience in a Soarian Clinicals environment and Soarian CPOE .Clinical experience & knowledge of healthcare processes with an ability to work with nursing, physician and other clinical personnel .Knowledge of hospital clinical ordering processes .Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) .Ability to work with pharmacy, lab, radiology and other ancillary departments .High comfort level with Microsoft Office and PC's .Good analytical and problem solving skills .Strong customer service orientation and experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment .Ability to Travel: 25-50%. .BA/BS with preferred concentration in computer science or information systems, in addition to a minimum of 3 years experience specifically in a hospital setting.
Position preferences: .Soarian Clinical application experience specifically in the area of order entry, order-sets .Understanding of ARRA/MU and knowledge of HL7 and interfaces, .Prior experience with other Siemens Clinicals applications
