Software Config Analyst
Summary of duties and responsibilities - The applicant shall provide operational and technical transition program management support tasks related to specific USTRANSCOM-sponsored ACTD/JCTDs. The applicant shall develop and maintain software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf software products. The applicant shall perform configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable. The applicant shall design and implement build procedures that are used to support software product development and use. The applicant shall develop ACTD/JCTD support documentation in accordance with the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) JCTD Practical Operating Guidelines (POG) as applicable. The applicant shall leverage results of ACTD/JCTD activities, meet with other members of the ACTD/JCTD Management Teams and disseminate lessons learned. The applicant shall schedule ACTD/JCTD meetings and conferences and provide technical and analytical assistance to USTRANSCOM ACTD/JCTD Program Manager and ACTD/JCTD Management Teams during conferences, meetings, and assessments. The applicant shall evaluate, analyze, and document all aspects of USTRANSCOM ACTD/JCTDs and provide ACTD/JCTD program information papers, meeting/conference minutes, and trip reports and background papers.
Basic Qualifications: Knowledge of the DOD Architecture Framework (DODAF) - Knowledge how to build System View artifacts (SV-1, SV-2, etc) and their uses - In-depth knowledge of Systems Architecture and the common symbology and terms used in TRANSCOM/J6 - Knowledge of metadata and ability to pursue metadata held by various capital systems in TRANSCOM and the Services
