Description
Duties and Responsibilities: The developer will be a part of a talented team that provides software development support for our client within the United States Army. Primary duties will include providing design and development for the maintenance and enhancements of the client's legacy web-based application. However, the legacy application is currently being converted to the .NET platform. The candidate will be responsible for working with members of the software development team to design, prototype, develop and integrate components of the application. The current legacy application utilizes Classic-ASP, Visual Basic 6 COM, and SQL Server 2005, but the conversion is using C#.NET, , and . The candidate should be able to work as a member of a team made up of a project management, developers, business analyst, database administrators, and network support members to create software solutions.
Required Qualifications: United States citizen and can obtain a Secret clearance; Bachelors degree and 2 to 4 yrs of related experience (a minimum of 2 years of experience in software development and design); Technical experience required to support the current legacy application include: Classic-ASP, Visual Basic 6, COM, SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures), Visual Studio 2008, C#.NET, , ; A strong background in the Windows architecture, deployment considerations, object-oriented design methodologies; Additional knowledge of Business Objects XI, Crystal Reports, or Documentum is a plus.
