Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
Detailed Description
As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
Job Requirements
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
Additional Details
Preferred Skills and Experience. 1. 10+ years experience in requirements analysis, design, coding and unit testing of scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant applications in Windows and UNIX environments. 2. 5+ years of hands-on web development experience with J2EE technologies such as Java, XML, Servlet, JDBC, and EJB (Bean and Container managed). 3. 5+ years of hands-on experience in development of high volume, high transaction J2EE enterprise application. 4. Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Engineering and/or Master's. 5. Must have working experience with multiple application servers such as WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, etc. 6. Working knowledge of OR and Relational databases such as Oracle, DB2 is desirable. 7. Working knowledge of iterative software development processes, RUP, UML and software engineering tools such as Borland or Rational products are desirable. 8. Candidate must be comfortable in a virtual team environment. 9. A "can do" resilient attitude, high energy, and creativity are required along with an ability to work unsupervised while handling multiple priorities 10. Must have demonstrated commitment to task and tolerance of ambiguity. 11. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
