The Software Development group at Flint Hills Resources collaborates to write custom solutions for new and existing applications, and to understand the evolving business requirements that support the companys extensive operations. The FHR IT team supports all aspects of the business, from transaction processing to financial analysis to data warehouse/business intelligence. Responsibilities: -Analyze business systems and identify key requirements to accurately and efficiently create customized components -Design, develop and test customized components for business applications -Demonstrate a rational and organized approach to completing project tasks, documentation and status updates -Execute work plans -Accept personal accountability for project deliverables -Develop short-term work schedules and priorities for individual tasks -Ensure that deliverables adhere to standards, specifications and deadlines -Provide application support services -Maintain availability for production support during normal business hours -Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, carrying a pager approximately one week per month -Travel to various plants as needed to work directly with customers and understand their business operations
Experience and Skills Required: -1 to 7 years of application development experience
Education Preferred: -Bachelors degree in computer science, management of information systems or related field from an accredited school
Experience and Skills Preferred: -Working knowledge of MS Visual Studio (.Net), Java, Oracle database, SQL Server
