Title: Software Developer Location: Canada-Ontario-Toronto Other Locations: The Software Developeris responsible for designing and developing safe and effective medical device software applications by utilizing the product realization process on new product introduction projects that meets quality, cost and schedule requirements through the entire product lifecycle from concept through introduction, design changes and end of life.
* Understand and contribute to product specification * Write technical documentation including module/unit level requirement, design and testing documents * Design, implementation and maintaining software modules/units, and conduct modules/units testing * Investigate and fix defects assigned and follow quality procedures for proper documentations * Perform peer design and code reviews * Work with hardware development team * Provide estimates and schedules for development projects * Accurate and frequent status reporting to management Perform other tasks as assigned by his/her supervisor(s)
· Bachelors degree in Software Science/Engineering or equivalent education · Minimum of 2 years of software development experience. A plus if related to medical device under ISO13485/FDA QSR environment · Visual C and object-oriented design · User interface programming using MFC (Microsoft Foundation Class) · Experience in 2D and 3D computer graphics using OpenGL · Familiarity with 2D and 3D medical imaging and image guided surgery including some or all of Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, CT, and MR, PET and SPECT · Familiarity with DICOM image file formats, PACS systems and medical scanner interfacing and control · Familiarity with medical image processing · Familiarity with GPU programming, an asset · Experiencewith .NET framework and SQL Server in C# · Experience with real-time systems · Experience in a team oriented software development environment including version control systems, peer code reviews, defect tracking, software design, specification and testing · Software coding standards · Co-development with other Software Developers · MS Office applications (MS Project, MS Visio)
