As a SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER II on the SQL Engine team, you will work with other talented senior engineers to build technologies that ship both in our Cloud service and our Box database offering, as well as support the flagship SQL Azure database service. We are looking for passionate, talented engineers to help us deliver on our next set of big challenges. We have opportunities for building domain expertise in areas such as document search, query processing, data storage, data administration, high availability, programming languages and high scale data processing.


Basic Qualifications:

3+ years writing commercial software in native and managed code in C++, C# or Java


The ideal candidate would have a BS degree in Computer Science (or equivalent), M.S./Ph.D. preferred Passion to design for robustness, longevity, and extensibility across releases is essential for success in SQL Server. Experience with databases, distributed systems, languages or compiler is a big plus, but not absolutely required.
